HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

My portrait creation fee starts at $145, and that covers your session with me, where we’ll create images you absolutely love. From there, prints start at just $40 and always include the digital files, so you can share your beautiful images online with friends and family.

I’m all about making sure you walk away not only with images you love but with prints that are ready to hang and enjoy. Think framed portraits, signed by me, destined to make your home feel even more special.

How do I book a shoot?

Thanks for asking! You can reach out to me through the contact options here, or through Facebook. We can discuss and plan your date, and any ideas you may have. I will go over your options and my portrait contract with you. All sessions require a non-refundable retainer and signed contract are required to reserve your date and lock in pricing.

What happens if I need to cancel my session?

I understand that sometimes life happens and we can't control things that come up. So I try to be as accommodating and understanding as possible. That being said, besides illness and bad weather, I allow a one time reschedule without an additional fee. After that, there will be a fee to acquire a new date.
If you must cancel your session without rescheduling a new date, your retainer fee is non-refundable

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I am based in Dandridge, TN. My base session fee includes locations within 20 miles of my Dandridge studio. Additional travel fees apply for locations outside that area.

What days do you do sessions on?

I book shoots sessions Sunday through Friday.

How much retouching do you do to your images?

I edit all my images to fit my artistic style. I like the people to look naturally beautiful, so I don't go in to alter their looks beyond a light touch up for things such as a few acne spots and other temporary blemishes.

What is your turnaround time?

My turn-around time for your proofing gallery is 3 weeks.

Who has the copyright to the images?

At Susan Marie Photography, I retain full copyright to all the images I create. For personal branding and headshot sessions, you’ll receive high-resolution digital files with full usage rights, allowing you to share your images across social media, websites, and more.

For portrait sessions, I use my professional lab to ensure that your images are printed with the highest quality and ready for display. I’ll guide you through the process, offering expert recommendations on print products that best suit your needs.

Do you deliver RAW images?

No RAW images are ever delivered to clients. All images you will receive will be edited images.

Do you pose your clients? I tend to feel awkward in front of the camera.

I want all my clients to feel comfortable, have fun, and look amazing in their session. I know being in front of the camera can feel awkward at times. But I have lots of poses and prompts I use to gently instruct you so you can relax and feel amazing.
