A Studio Session Full of Giggles: Matthew & Sarah
Sunday’s session with Matthew and Sarah was an absolute joy! These two little cuties were bursting with energy, personality, and the kind of sibling sweetness (and sassiness) that makes for the best photos! Their mom did a fantastic job choosing outfits which helped create a cohesive and polished look in their portraits. The neutral tones with little pops of texture worked beautifully in the studio setting.
Sarah was all personality in her denim dress, twirling, laughing, and giving me the funniest expressions. And Matthew? He was a little gentleman, full of curiosity and charm. One of my favorite moments was when we pulled out the flower sunglasses—instant fun! Seeing their little faces light up while striking their best poses (or just being their playful selves) made for some of the cutest images ever.
Toward the end of the session, I brought out my pageboy hat for Matthew, but by then, he was officially done with photos. Luckily, Sarah was more than happy to step in! She popped the hat on, and we ended up with some of the most adorable shots of her rocking it with confidence. It was such a fun, unexpected moment that perfectly captured her playful spirit.
Coordinating outfits like these can really elevate a session without making it feel overly styled. Choosing pieces in the same color family or with complementary textures allows the focus to stay on your little ones and their connection. It also makes for timeless images that will look great framed on a wall or in an album for years to come.
If you’ve been thinking about a studio session for your toddler (or two!), I promise it’s a fantastic way to capture this fun, unpredictable, and oh-so-sweet stage of life. And yes, we’ll absolutely bring out the flower sunglasses again—because who can resist that level of cuteness?
